What does it mean to do UX?
It’s a popular thing for people to drop and use in their job descriptions, but I want to equip anyone with the skills needed to practice it – even without the fancy title.
For me, user experience is research-driven design and planning – a conscientious and formalized process of creation, similar to what ergonomics improves in products.
Through my workshops and the toolkits I’ve helped create, I want to help people learn how they can practice this for themselves.
UX isn’t a magic bullet, it’s something that the early practitioners have wanted to inculcate in product development from the time of the Web Standards Project in the 90’s.
